Have you ever heard a Paleo Diet? Read the information here-a paleo Diet or can be called a caveman diet, is one of the methods of dieting that adopts the prehistoric period of a cave man in the Paleolithic period. So, why are caveman models to do diets?

Cavemen are used as dietary references because they are considered to have a diet that matches the basic design of the human body. Therefore, the food sources in this diet are made as well as possible with those consumed cavemen.

The Paleo Diet is believed to be able to improve health as expressed in several clinical trials, namely to lower the risk of cardiovascular disease and type 2 diabetes. Types of food in the Paleo Diet
Food that is recommended to be consumed according to this diet is the food that the caveman has obtained by hunting, fishing, or found in nature. In general, the food is meat, fish, vegetables and fruits. Other types of food that can be categorized cave human food are tubers and shellfish.

Although it cannot mimic one hundred percent of what the caveman consumed, there is a modified version for today's modern food. The one that is used as a benchmark is gluten-free. Gluten alone is like glue or adhesive which is a combination of proteins that can be found in wheat.

The above eligible food groups, among others:

Vegetables.
Fruits.
Legumes and grains are free of pesticides and fungicide.

Meat is low in fat, especially those fed with grass or looking for their own food.
Fish are rich in omega-3 fatty acids, such as salmon, mackerel, and tuna.
Oils are derived from grains and nuts, such as olive oil and walnut oil.
In the Paleo diet, some of the following types of food are recommended to avoid.

Various dairy products.
Lentils, peas, and peanut.
Grains and potatoes.
Salt.
Processed sugar.

All food packaging in general.
Those who do the Paleo diet are recommended not to consume other beverages in addition to white water, coconut water, or organic green tea. If you want to give a sweet taste to the food, you can use genuine honey or coconut sugar. While it is permissible, consumption of raw honey and coconut sugar should be limited. For sure, these dieters should keep their physical activity on a regular basis.

Who is recommended doing this Diet?
This Diet is considered suitable for those suffering from diabetes. Because, this diet limits the intake of carbohydrates. The source of carbohydrates allowed in this diet has a low glycemic index. This type of food makes the pancreas does not need to work hard so that the amount of medication needed is not too much.

In addition, this diet is considered suitable for diabetics because it prioritizes foods rich in protein without fat and rich in fiber, so as to help control blood sugar levels and prevent weight gain. Other than good for diabetics, the Paleo diet is also considered good for preventing heart disease and other serious conditions. This Diet is also a good possibility to cleanse toxins in the body, sharpen memory, and make connections between organs in the body better.

Although this diet promises good results because it focuses on natural food, but because of its strict rules, not everyone is able to run it for a long time. Another difficulty is that this diet samples the food consumed by cavemen in ancient times, while the situation and conditions at the time were very different from the present.

The most alarming part of having a paleo diet is the risk of unbalanced nutrition and the lack of certain nutrients that the body needs, as this diet denishes important foods, such as grains and milk.
